fantrade

fantrade

Fantrade is a native application which allows fantasy sports owners to see their players in a new way and equip themselves with the right information to make informed trade decisions. My role on this project included initial product concept, interaction design, visual design and static prototyping done in Marvel.
Platform: iOS and Android
Project type: Fantasy sports, trading and information design
Role: Interaction, Visual and Prototyping

Actionable recommendations

The app pulls player data across multiple seasons to make informed recommendations about trades. This helps advanced users spend less time “crunching numbers” across the seemingly endless news sources and helps new players actually avoid making huge trade mistake that could lead to major imbalances across their league.

Focused utility

In the pursuit of being focused on trades, the app is designed to hide any information that isn’t pertinent to an objective trade decision. For instance, it isn’t objectively relevant to a trade decision to know whether a fantasy team has won a league championship in the past or not. Filtering out the additional information that may cloud a trade decision or create unnecessary biases has been deliberately left out to create the most clear outcomes for users.

Analyzing a trade: Critical user journey

This video showcases a toothbrush user journey of fantrade and provides a quick glance at how the app would distill aggregated data sets and trends into understandable and actionable recommendations.
